【Route Detail】
Sichuan opera is traditionally enjoyed in a tea house, where the audience can relax with tasty snacks and hot tea while enjoying the performance. Sufengyayun Tea House is one of Chengdu’s best, located in the Chengdu Culture Park near Qingyang Palace.
The building is in the style of Sichuan’s rustic Old West Shu Country. You’ll be in for a treat, as the ancient Chinese dramatic art of bian lian (face changing) is a highlight of the show. Performers wear brightly colored costumes and move to quick, dramatic music. Their faces are hidden by vividly colored masks… and in a fraction of a second, the masks change, revealing completely new faces.
The show start at 20:00pm and the show lasts for 90 minutes.
【Ticket issuance information】
On the day of the performance,
First, pick up the tickets at the address(Shufeng Yayun Ticket Collection Office, East Gate of Cultural Park, No. 89, Qintai Road. You can show ‘琴台路89号’ to your taxi driver.) by entering your PHONE NUMBER to the Ticket Machine.
After getting the paper tickets, enter the theater and take your seats with the ticket, your seating information will be displayed on the paper ticket. The on-site staff will ask for your preferences regarding the items included in the package.
The performance starts at 8 pm. It is recommended that you can have dinner nearby, after dinner, exchange your ticket and enter the opera house at least 20 minutes in advance and take your seats.
Public transportation: Exit from Exit A of Tonghuimen Station on Metro Line 2(通惠门), and it is a 5-minute walk to the venue. The performance will end at approximately 9:30 p.m. The last train of the subway will depart at around 11:30 p.m.
